 Sally
is a very experienced journalist. Her experience has included –
fashion department on Harpers & Queen magazine, business
editor of the Evening Echo, news on the Daily Mail, Sunday Telegraph
and BBC in the UK, Daily News and ABC in Australia. Sally has done a
large amount of freelance writing including for the Sunday Times and
many other leading publications; she has been Small Business Writer
of the Year; awarded a Winston Churchill; has had books published by
Michael Joseph and Rigby Books.
Sally has lived in places as diverse as Cairo and
Singapore and visited well over 50 countries.
Sport has featured strongly in Sally’s life; she
took up skydiving in her early 20s and set up the world’s first all
girl skydiving display team; she was British women’s freefall
champion and a member of the British Parachute Team at international
events. She then took up hot air ballooning, becoming a commercial
pilot; chief partner in the Perth Hot Air Ballooning School; a
member of the Australian Ballooning Team and second woman overall at
the World Hot Air Ballooning Championships.
Sally brings great energy and enthusiasm to the role
and she will be an inspiration to us all in later life - if we can
